BioEM 2017 in Hangzhou, China – Call for Abstracts

bioem2017_logoBioEM2017, the premier international conference on bioelectromagnetics and the annual joint meeting of the Bioelectromagnetics Society (BEMS) and the European BioElectromagnetics Association (EBEA), will be held June 5-9 at the West Lake Villa, Hangzhou, China.

We invite abstracts for platform presentations (20 minutes) and poster sessions. Original papers are solicited for presentation (in English) on the interaction of biological systems with electromagnetic energy from static fields through terahertz radiation. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the following categories:

  • in vitro studies
  • in vivo studies
  • epidemiology
  • provocation studies
  • mechanisms of interaction
  • clinical devices and medical applications
  • theoretical and practical modelling
  • instrumentation and methodology
  • dosimetry
  • exposure standards
  • occupational exposure
  • public policy
  • risk assessment

Authors wishing to present papers should submit a short summary and an abstract electronically. Instructions for Authors and the abstract submissions portal can be found at https://www.bioem.org/home. We encourage you to read through the instructions carefully before making your submission at http://www.bioem.org/SubmitAbstract
All abstracts will be reviewed and scored by the Technical Program Review Committee. Authors’ preferences for a platform or poster presentation will be followed whenever possible, however it is not always possible when submitted abstracts are assembled into a balanced set of sessions for the final program.

As always, we particularly invite platform and poster submissions from students. There will be a competition (with prizes) for the best student papers (both oral and poster). BioEM2017 will also offer travel support to a number of students. For details and to apply, see http://www.bioem2017.org.
Details of registration options and rates can be found at http://www.bioem2017.org/list-38-1.html. When registering as a member, please ensure that your BEMS and/or EBEA membership is up to date at the time of the conference, as those who do not have current membership will be required to pay the additional registration fee on site.
